Our History
How We Made It Here
D+E Consulting was founded in November 2008 as a high-touch specialized firm focused on Business Intelligence and client-side consulting for major implementations.
2008
D+E Consulting, Inc. founded by Ed and Dawna Lamhing.
2010
Ed was the lead client-side consultant for the Pep Boys implementation of 20,000 active employees.
2012
Ed was the lead client-side consultant that led the OPI implementation of 2,300 employees.
2015
We joined the Ultimate Software partner network to continue our client-side consulting as a certified partner.
2017
We expanded our relationship with Ultimate Software to include implementations as a certified partner and expanded our team.
2020

Dawna brings more than twenty years of experience in the HRMS/Payroll industry to her role at D+ E Consulting. Prior to co-founding D+E Consulting, she worked for Ultimate Software for fourteen years in several key roles. As a Business Intelligence specialist, she gained a deep understanding of the functionality of the UltiPro product. This knowledge is key to her ability to assist clients on a wide variety of report development projects.
Dawna has a far-reaching understanding of reporting tools, combined with broad exposure to the needs of HRMS/Payroll teams across all industries. Dawna’s balance of functional and technical expertise puts her customers in a position to be more efficient and successful by leveraging the Business Intelligence products as part of their UltiPro system.
A creative problem-solver with strong analytical skills and a valued advisor to her clients, she has never forgotten the words of a client, “A product is only as good as the information you can get from it.” Dawna’s career has been spent doing precisely that for UltiPro clients.
Prior to joining Ultimate Software, Dawna worked as a Major Accounts Administrator with the Employer Services team at ADP.

Ed brings almost thirty years of HRMS/Payroll industry experience to his role at D+E Consulting. Prior to co-founding the company in 2008, Ed worked for Ultimate Software for more than ten years. As a Senior Systems Consultant, implementing major accounts across the country, he mastered all facets of the application. In his early years at Ultimate Software, Ed performed the full spectrum of the implementation—from UltiPro configuration and data conversion, to loading opening balances and creating interfaces and custom reports.
When Ultimate Software launched its Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) program, Ed expanded his understanding of client requirements, finding even more ways to help them solve their challenges. Ed utilizes this unique experience to provide valuable insight that improves business processes and facilitates successful implementations across all industries.
Before joining Ultimate Software, Ed worked as both a Payroll Director and Benefits Director for large organizations in the private sector for ten years. He understands the needs of the people he works with because he has been in their shoes.
Ed received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from Pace University in New York.

As Director, Consulting Services at D+E Consulting, Don brings a holistic perspective to supporting the firm’s clients. His extensive managerial and human resources skills have been honed by a professional career that spans almost twenty years. As both manager and consultant on a national and global scale, Don has successfully directed large cross-functional business teams and been responsible for a broad range of organizational initiatives, including implementing professional security staffing, security equipment requirements, executive protection planning, post specific instructions, safety protocols, investigation, special event planning and implementing the latest software technology.
Prior to his career in the private sector, Don served with honor and distinction for twenty years in the United States Navy, where he rose to the rank of Senior Chief. During that time, he was responsible for managed administrative functions and personnel guidance of 200+ division personnel. He led and coordinated operational readiness and maintenance of the high demanding aircraft launching equipment on-board aircraft carriers, and was awarded numerous personal medals for exemplary leadership.
Don holds a BA in Education from Southern Illinois University, and an MA in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University.

Mark brings over twenty years of HCM/Payroll industry experience to his role at D+E Consulting. Prior to joining D+E, Mark lead a team of 12, directing the payroll operations of a multi-billion-dollar retailer for 20,000 employees nationwide and managed the system conversion implementing UltiPro®. More recently, he was an HR director for a start-up who championed and led the implementation of UltiPro® for a company of 300 employees.
Mark has extensive experience as an UltiPro® user including Core HR & Payroll, Benefits Administration, Performance Management and Business Intelligence reporting.
Mark has held varying levels of management responsible for maintaining sensitive information, both financial and employee data. He is a highly ethical professional with extensive experience in human resources, payroll and accounting functions, internal controls and cost reduction strategies.
Mark is a champion of employee and manager self-service and successfully navigated change management for employers of varying sizes.
His education credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Accounting from Asbury University in Kentucky.

Mark’s innate ability to be an objective advisor and committed partner to D+E Consulting clients, both present and future, helps them to identify and evaluate areas of their company, software and processes where D+E Consulting can assist in enabling them to experience optimum productivity and value from their technology platforms and workforce.
With over 15 years of experience in the Human Capital Management industry, Mark takes a proactive approach to addressing the situations and needs of companies on the D+E roster, while assessing and offering new D+E clients tailored solutions that deliver accurate product alignment and exceptional value.
Team leadership comes naturally to Mark. It’s something that was further cultivated during his tenure in Executive and Customer Relationship Manager positions at Ultimate Software. Prior to his service in those job titles, he served as an Operations Manager for Cintas Document Management and in various Sales and Service Manager posts at Security-Shred and Ceridian.
Mark’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Education in Corporate Recreation and a Master of Education in Sports Administration, both from The University of Kansas.

With over 18 years of experience in the ITES industry, including 10 years focused on managing complex projects, Saurav heads the Program Management division of D+E Consulting. In his role as head of Global HR Operations at Sterling Talent Solutions, Saurav was one of the primary people accountable for the global implementation of the full suite of UltiPro® products across five geographies.
In addition to his strong project management skills, Saurav has a deep understanding of the UltiPro® implementation process. Saurav understands the challenges of a complex implementation and is adept at finding solutions that are both effective and efficient. His UltiPro® product knowledge provides him with a unique advantage for managing medium to large UltiPro® implementations ranging from 10K employees to 50K employees across multiple geographies.
Saurav has strong skills in time management, prioritizing tasks, and meeting targets. He is an effective manager, strong team player and organized leader.
Saurav’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration. He is certified in PRINCE2, ITIL and other Microsoft Technology certifications. He is a COPC certified High-Performance Management.

Bringing an unwavering commitment to her UKG clients and a positive attitude with everything she does, Stephanie creates partnerships built on mutual respect, trust, and desire to conquer all roadblocks and assist with system efficiency. Her ability to create and maintain relationships has proven to be a very successful asset to the Managed Services Industry leadership style. Her clients consider her and the entire D+E Consulting team to be an extended branch of their own departments.
Stephanie has a great deal of experience working with clients in many industries including, but not limited to, manufacturing, healthcare, banking, retail, and service industries across the United States, and currently concentrates on UKG Pro® Post Live Support, specifically HRIS Managed Services.
Hard-working, reliable, and personable, Stephanie’s a key player on the D+E team and is responsible for growing and managing UKG Pro® HRIS Managed Services Team. Stephanie has successfully created teams and business lines in the past and plans on using that expertise to create even more amazing relationships within the walls of D+E and externally with her clients.
Stephanie has been awarded a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ashford University and holds two active Human Resource Certifications: PHR and SHRM-CP.

Bringing an energy and get-it-done attitude to everything he does; Greg creates partnerships built on trust and accountability with clients who consider him and the entire D+E Consulting team to be an extended branch of their own departments. Greg has a great deal of experience working with clients in the hotel and hospitality industry across the United States and currently concentrates on UKG Pro® system security and the UKG Pro® suite of Time Management products.
Self-motivated, dedicated, and dependable, Greg’s a key player on the D+E team and responsible for assisting clients with UKG Pro® implementations from beginning to end of the implementation lifecycle.
He also acts as security administrator for client HRIS data support and administers UKG Pro® payroll systems for clients. Working with Human Resources executives, Ron integrates UKG Pro® technology into HR routine and policy for D+E clients. Greg has been awarded a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Rutgers University.
