D+E is looking for experienced professionals to join our HCM Managed Services team. As a D+E Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate processing and reconciliation of our UKG (Ultimate Software/UltiPro) clients’ payroll within our Managed Services Team. You will provide timely and accurate financial information while engaging in day-to-day payroll operations. The Payroll Specialist will possess significant experience in multi-state payroll processing, the ability to multi-task within multiple services where required and work in a challenging and ever-changing environment to deliver exceptional service to improve the satisfaction and retention of our clients.
- Perform analysis & research related to payroll processing
- Responsible for timely and accurate audit processes for our clients, including special projects such as quarterly and year end audits
- Assist the Team Lead and Manager in reconciling all inputs and outputs of payroll processing, ensuring that all requirements are met
- Build relationships of trust, respect, and partnership with client contacts by providing exceptional client service
- Identify areas of client discontent and escalate to Team Lead and/or Payroll Manager
- Maintain high-level awareness of client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and execute to meet their requirements
- Develop and maintains awareness of SOC 1 controls and accountable for compliance at each task performed
- Handle the set-up and execution of new payroll cycles including any manual HR or Pay Data Entry
- Perform pre-calculation audits by running and analyzing reports and making the necessary corrections
- Run variance reports and review the accuracy of the payroll data along with individual transactions input
- Perform payroll balancing by running reports, investigating variances and determine action to be taken
- Process prior period adjustments, inclusive of manual checks, stop payments, and reversals
- Assist client in preparation for quarter/year-end processing
- Assist client with their annual enrollment—testing and performing applicable activities
- Experience working with automated multi-corporation, multi-state, payroll processing with in-depth knowledge of payroll tax and accounting principles plus wage and hour laws
- Experience working with UKG (UltiPro/Ultimate Software) is required
- Strong verbal and written client services skills
- Must possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines
- Proficient in using PC with MS Office applications especially Word and Excel
- Highly motivated and team oriented with ability to collaborate and effectively work within cross functional teams
- Human Resource and Payroll Experience with a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred

As a D+E Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting clients with the implementation of UKG's UltiPro HCM solution, including requirements gathering, process design, system configuration, testing, and go-live. This is a functional consulting position; however, knowledge of the technical aspects of software implementations such as System Integration or Report Writing is a plus. Qualified candidates will possess outstanding customer service skills as well as strong analytical skills.

As a D+E Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their data conversion and interface requirements within UKG's (UltiPro/ Ultimate Software) HCM solution. This position requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Conduct analysis and create documents for integration between client’s source system and UKG (UltiPro/Ultimate Software)
- Develop, test, and deploy system interfaces with UKG (UltiPro/Ultimate Software)
- Manage and resolve issues with delivered integrations
- Interpret, validate, and convert data from various HRMS/Payroll systems into UKG (UltiPro/Ultimate Software) including but not limited to employee demographic data, taxation, benefits, payroll balances, contacts, dependents, beneficiaries, and historical data
- Utilize available data conversion tools, templates, and documentation
- Create and provide post-conversion documents for client validation and accuracy—ensuring compliance and data integrity
- Create and execute effective test plans to ensure the quality of the solutions delivered
- Manage and resolve issues with converted data
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data conversion and/or interface development
- Strong SQL, Programming, and Report Writing skills required

As a Lead Technical Consultant (LTC) for D&E Consulting, you will be a high-profile member of a dynamic team responsible for the high-quality activation of UKG products. This individual is accountable for delivering top-quality SQL Development and Data Consulting Services to our customers in a fast-paced environment. Skills essential to this role are strong analysis, change control, consulting, organization, written and verbal communication. Strong functional and technical knowledge of HCM and Payroll systems is a must. The ability to meet target dates and renegotiate deliverables is essential. This individual must have the ability to articulate complex concepts to both end users and key stakeholders.
The LTC position combines superior skills with depth of experience to deliver quality solutions to both customers and team members. The LTC is expected to be a subject matter expert (SME) to both internal and external customers. As a SME you are expected to assist with knowledge transfer, best practices (including developing job aides) for all team members. The LTC should have the ability to step into most situations and provide credibility, guidance and escalate as needed.
The following is a list of responsibilities that you will have on your various assignments. Some or all may be needed on any project you will be assigned to.
- Coordinate and perform lifecycle tasks on assigned activation projects in compliance with D&E’s data conversion methodology
- Provide analytical and design expertise in Data Mapping, Data Conversion and best practices for data management and data cleanup
- Conduct a full and thorough data analysis
- Prepare client-facing data conversion project documentation as needed
- Create/interpret data mapping from source system(s) to target system
- Create/validate full data conversion – master file, payroll balances and additional optional tables
- Create Transact SQL code to export, import, parse and transform data
- Utilize available data conversion tools and documentation to promote efficiency and standardization
- Create testing plans for data verification
- Extraction and normalization of customer data as required
- Create required post conversion documents including Issues and Assumptions and Tax Verification
- Manage and resolve open issues
- Provide input on data conversion methodology and process improvements
- Effectively implement change-control and communicate to team members and customers as warranted on all assigned projects
- Proactively communicate with internal and external customers to keep them apprised of project status and ensure they are on track with assigned responsibilities and project timelines
- Complete internal special projects as assigned

- Serve as Technical Project Lead on most complex conversions
- Assist the PTC with mentoring and knowledge transfer to functional team members
- Provide input on new tools Concepts and Process Improvements to drive efficiency
- Participate in project retrospectives
- Work closely with the team in the development and testing of new data parsing templates
Advanced Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to the above, the LTC performs the following advanced duties:
- Act as a SME and/or lead resource in resolving technical escalations
- Serve as liaison with Functional team to explain data conversion and integration process
- Understand and troubleshooting issues with customers application of UKG’s integration services
- Formulate/participate/lead initiatives as needed

- Demonstrate the ability to convert source client data from multiple sources including Contacts and Dependents

- Demonstrate ability to successfully convert basic Company Level data tables as required (Ex: Org Levels, Employee Types etc.)
- Demonstrate ability to successfully configure and process a Company Transfer
